A Nasty Heart Stabber from Otai

Many friends have asked me what exactly I've picked up from SSAD class I attended a year ago. To be honest, I still struggle to encapsulate the lessons; for I haven’t completed all three classes, but so deeply they are woven into the fabric of my way of driving.

All I know is I cope with those lessons with life and its small shocks better, with greater serenity and strength and a depth of emotional insight that I didn't have before I enrolled in the class.

SSAD brings to the surface fundamental truths and gently helps you to be a better driver, to change your mind from how you put your hands on the wheels to how you should floor the pedal. And then think of the best way to drive your car for yourself.

From that you emerge with a trove of tools to question your judgment, to grow, to engage better with other drivers; both in the circuit or at the public road - in short, to evolve the daily driven knowledge of yours into a better appreciated set of skills and experience. As a person who loves driving and motorsport, I couldn't ask for a greater gift.

The moment I saw Abang Adi Perlis on the passenger seat with Sifu Rashid Ramlan beside him for One on One Coaching Session last Saturday at SIC, the wise words from Mr Irwan Sanei strikes me immediately: “Biar terus berlapar mencari ilmu, jangan pernah kenyang dengan pengalaman”.

I'm inspired by Abang Adi Perlis and more determined to complete my course~
